TMB modificatins made on 1-27-08    Internal baffle system flocked and 2 additional baffles installed.

A  larger Dew Shield was installed with new mounting hardware.
The RoboFocus drive was moved from the reduction shaft to the Main Shaft of the 3.5" Feather Touch Focuser.

Photo to the right shows part of the new baffle structure.  There are three steel rods that connect the end rings to stabilize alignment.

These three photos show the RoboFocus drive motor connected directly to the 3.5" FeatherTouch main focuser shaft.

There is a "clutch mechanism" coupled between the RoboFocus motor and the Focuser Shaft. This allow turning of the focuser manually.
