Real-Time Lightning Strike Information (North is UP, West is Left )   Data Uploaded every minute.
Thunderstorm Tracking is indicated by a
Dashed Diamond.  The suffix up or down arrow indicates increasing or decreasing lightning activity.
The display is "AutoRanging"  and is based on the proximity of lightning strike activity.

The Lightning Display above is a good indicator of convective activity commonly associated with thunderstoms.    Combined with the cloud cover information shown below from the Infraed Satellite images, these data help to show weather trends and intensity of thunderstorm activity.  It is also interesting that lightning strikes can occur in areas distant from convective activity.  Strikes >30 minutes old are displayed in Amber and help to give an indication of thunderstorm movement and direction.
